How to set up proxies in Safari

Safari is a Web browser originally released by Apple for the Mac OS X operating system. For Mac users this is an obvious choice but there are some other advantages for using Safari browser beside the fact that it is preinstalled on Mac OS:

  1. Speed: Safari is known for its fast performance, which makes surfing the web fast and easy.
  2. Security: Safari is still considered one of the most secure browsers, thanks to its advanced security technologies such as sandboxing and tracking protection.
  3. Integration with Apple devices: Safari is developed by Apple and designed to work seamlessly with all Apple devices, making it the go to choice for Mac, iPhone and iPad users.
  4. Tab management: Safari offers advanced options for managing tabs, allowing users to group tabs, display them as thumbnails, and move them between windows.
  5. Power saving: Safari is optimized to save the battery of Apple devices, making web browsing use less power and extend battery life, which we all know it is an extremely important aspect of using the mobile devices.

The Windows edition of Safari differs from the Mac OS X edition and uses the proxy settings specified in the “Internet Options” area of your Control Panel. Safari automatically opens this dialog window when you attempt to change your proxy configuration.

1. Open Safari

2.  Open Safari Menu and click on Preferences

3. Go to Advanced

4. Click Change Settings

5. Check the box Web Proxy (HTTP).

6. Enter the Web Proxy Server, Port number, Username and Password
